The Old Market Assembly at 25 West Street has been a fixture of Bristol's Old Market since 2015 — an award-winning restaurant, bar, cafe and bakery built around a state-of-the-art stage and sound system, and home to the much-loved Wardrobe Theatre showing original fringe work. With a capacity of around 300, the room programmes live music, club nights, cabaret, interactive theatre and tasting events, with a sun-drenched roof terrace upstairs. Tickets are deliberately accessible — theatre from £6 and many bands free to watch — reflecting its aim of being welcoming, inclusive and fun. The Night
The Old Market Assembly hosts 'Assembly Nights: Unplugged', a monthly Monday acoustic open mic and jam in its West Street venue. It's a relaxed, collaborative night for musicians of all abilities — stripped-back guitar, singers, spoken word and small percussion — with sign-up and doors at 7pm, performances from 8pm, and a free open jam at 10pm where anyone can join in. Entry is free and it's an 18+ room; guitars, bass amps and a small busking drum kit are on hand, though you're encouraged to bring your own where you can. Host Eleri runs sound.
