Sidney & Eden is an independent craft bar at 198 Gloucester Road in Bishopston, Bristol, opened in September 2020 with 20 constantly changing keg lines, a strong wine list, cocktails and a garden. Live music runs every Friday and Saturday night, and the wider weekly programme is packed — Bristol's first specialist weekly comedy club lives in the basement, alongside drag shows, karaoke, a cinema club, quiz and games nights. An intimate neighbourhood room on one of Bristol's best-loved independent strips, well suited to acoustic acts and small-room gigs with the live listings carried on Headfirst Bristol.

About Sidney & Eden

About This Open Mic
The Night
Sidney & Eden is an independent craft bar at 198 Gloucester Road in Bishopston, Bristol — 20 constantly rotating keg lines, a strong wine list, cocktails and a garden — and its regular open mic is a spoken word night on the last Sunday of each month from 8pm. All styles are welcomed: short stories, flash and micro-fiction, poetry, even extracts from your book — if you've written it, you can read it. It's a strictly spoken word event (no comedy or music), free entry, 18+, in a warm, welcoming and friendly room. Downstairs, the atmospheric basement also hosts the Bristol Comedy Den's free stand-up open mic nights, so there's a stage here for comics too.
