Anke's Tea and Coffee Lounge is an independent cafe on London Road in Westcliff-on-Sea, at the western end of the Southend seafront area. Alongside its daytime tea and coffee trade it hosts occasional evening events for the local creative community. On the last Thursday of each month it becomes the Southend home of EMOM, the Electronic Music Open Mic, with a PA provided and a relaxed, gear-swapping atmosphere. Entry is free and anyone can play.

Westcliff EMOM is an electronic music open mic on the last Thursday of each month at Anke's Tea and Coffee Lounge on London Road, from 7pm to 9pm. Performers bring their own gear, synths, grooveboxes or laptops, rather than the usual acoustic format, and the venue provides the PA. Free to attend and free to play. Part of the national EMOM network.
