The Railway Hotel is a three-storey Victorian pub in the middle of Southend-on-Sea, near Southend Central station. It retains its original counter, bar-back fitting, panelled walls and parquet floor, and has a decked beer garden to the rear. It is one of the best-known grassroots live music pubs on the Essex coast, with bands most nights, an entirely vegetarian and vegan kitchen, and a weekly programme that includes an open mic, a blues night and a jazz night.
