The Park Tavern on London Road, Southend-on-Sea is home to Pier City Events' Showcase acoustic open mic sessions on the first Sunday of each month. Performers play a 20-25 minute set through a great sound system with a live stream, covering acoustic, blues, folk, jazz, poetry and even sea shanties — turn up early to grab a free, first-come-first-served slot.
