About The Golden Eagle
The Golden Eagle is a large two-bar street-corner local on Delamere Road in Southsea, Portsmouth (PO4 0JA), and one of the area's longest-standing grassroots live-music pubs. Top-quality acts play every Friday and Saturday, with a monthly open mic night giving newer performers a stage; international, national and local bands have all appeared here over the years. The public bar is carpeted while the lounge has bare boards and a pool table, and there is a quaint beer garden out back. The room runs on an in-house PA and welcomes both original material and covers across rock, acoustic and covers-band sets.
