Portsmouth Irish Club first opened in 1949 and has been at 77 Elm Grove in Southsea since 1973. It is a friendly private members' club with around 600 members, and entry is for members or the guests they sign in (up to three each).
Live music runs every Friday from 9pm. On Thursday evenings there are traditional music sessions in the members' lounge from 8.30pm, and on Sunday afternoons a sing-along session where you can bring your own instrument and join in.
Alongside the music there is Irish dancing, bingo, pool and darts, and a large function hall with its own bar for private hire.
