I spoke with Cheri in an editorial capacity rather than at a gig, and it was a real pleasure. She's only nineteen but already plays a stack of instruments, and wrote, performed and produced her debut EP completely on her own before setting about building two bands in Manchester. For someone that young, the range of what she can already do, and how clearly she knows the sound she's after, is genuinely impressive. She's independent, driven, and happy to let the music do the talking. I really enjoyed the conversation and I'm looking forward to seeing how far she takes it. Five stars from me.
