Can I contact a venue that isn't on GigXchange yet?

Yes. The venue directory lists venues across the UK, including many that have not joined GigXchange yet. Where a venue's card shows a Contact button, you can introduce yourself even though they are not a member.

Open Find Venues from Explore and find the venue. Contact only appears on venues that have not joined yet and that we hold contact details for — most cards in the list are members already, so you will not see it on all of them. Where it is there, choose Contact. Write a personal note under Your message — who you are, what you play, why you would suit their room — then Send message.

We pass your note to the venue by email, along with a link to your profile, and it is free for the venue to join and reply. If they do join, you will be notified.

A personal note is required, and there is a daily limit on how many venues you can contact — so make each one count. A specific, genuine message about their venue lands far better than a copy-paste.

Venues that are already members do not need this route — you simply message them directly or send a booking offer.
