The Green Room is a long-running independent bar and live-music venue on Devonshire Street, overlooking Devonshire Green in Sheffield City Centre. For more than two decades it has been one of the city centre's few remaining independent bars, doubling as an events space with an eclectic live-music programme leaning towards mod, soul and rock 'n' roll, alongside an occasional Wednesday comedy night run with Last Laugh. The c. 70-capacity room runs late — open from 08:30 most days, through to 01:00 on Friday and Saturday. The original operation held its final night on 25 May 2026, but the venue is relaunching in June 2026 under new stewardship from WaterBear – The Music College as The WaterBear Green Room, continuing its role at the heart of Sheffield's grassroots live-music scene.
