About The Ferry
The Ferry is a grassroots music venue in Anderston Quay, Glasgow with a standing capacity of approximately 350. Bring your own PA, mics and instruments.
The Ferry books Rock acts. Both original music and covers are welcome. This listing is part of the Glasgow venue directory.
The Ferry is a Glasgow institution — a former Clyde passenger ship, permanently moored on the River Clyde at Anderston Quay (Windmillcroft Quay until 2005) and enclosed in a glass-and-steel atrium to become a multi-purpose entertainment venue across two decks and a mezzanine. It seats and entertains up to around 400 guests and is best known for tribute nights, glam-rock and party events, original-artist shows, three-course dinner-and-show evenings, corporate events and private hire. The record's existing 350 standing capacity is a reasonable lower estimate; the venue itself cites events for 'up to 400'. Glasgow city and Anderston area are correct.
