The Royal Oak is a historic village free house at 55 Green Lane, Ockbrook, Derbyshire (DE72 3SE) — a pub since 1865, run by the same family since 1953 and a Good Beer Guide stalwart for over 30 years, named Derby CAMRA Country Pub of the Year 2022. It hosts frequent live music from mostly local bands in its function room or the outside marquee, and is home to the Ockbrook Big Band, who play free weekly Sunday-evening concerts from 8pm to 10pm showcasing a rotating cast of local vocalists. The pub also stages one-off events such as the Widstock festival and the Derby Festival of Psychedelia, and keeps three changing ales plus Draught Bass all year round.
