The Warehouse Arts Centre is a four-storey creative building on West Street in Southport, opened in June 2026 by a group of local musicians and artists. Its live music heart is Coopers Bar - a family-run music bar that started on Leicester Street and moved here for a purpose-built stage and room for bigger audiences.
Coopers has always booked across genres, from jazz and blues to rock, pop and acoustic sets, and built its name on open mics, jam sessions and talent competitions for local players. The listings so far bear that out: three nights of Everywhere at Once in June 2026 with The Jazz Stats Big Band, Coopers House Jazz Band, TICO TICO and others, a Steely Don tribute show in November, and an alternative 80s dance night.
Under the same roof are Tides Out's not-for-profit recording and rehearsal studios, the Coopers Music instrument shop, a theatre space and a gallery, so it's a useful hub for a local band beyond the gig itself.
