The Bulls Head sits on Castle Gates in Shrewsbury, a minute's walk down the hill to the railway station, so it is the natural first or last pint for anyone arriving by train. It is a Marston's pub with cask ales, a sunny beer garden, a fireplace, free wifi and live sport on the screens, and it is dog friendly. Live music and quiz nights run through the week, and the room's own open mic night lands on the last Wednesday of every month, 8pm till 11pm, everyone welcome, with a dedicated Facebook page for the night. Doors open at 11am Monday to Saturday and midday on Sunday, closing at 11pm every night.
