About Albert's Shed Shrewsbury

Albert's ‌‌‍Shed sits on Barker Street in the centre of Shrewsbury, a quirky independent bar built around live music rather than one that tolerates it. The room is intimate and the programme is weekly rather than occasional.

Jam Night, the venue's open mic, runs every other Tuesday from 8pm with full backline provided - PA, drums, guitar and bass amps and mics - so performers can turn up with an instrument and nothing else. All levels are welcome and Tony Stanton hosts.

Midweek carries on with Albert's Songwriter's Showcase on Wednesdays, three original acts from across the region each week, and karaoke on Thursdays. For an original artist in Shropshire it is one of the few rooms that will put you in front of a listening audience on a weeknight.
