Tap & Brew is a popular micropub at 9 Hoyland Road, Hoyland Common, near Barnsley (South Yorkshire), which opened in June 2017 and serves local cask ales, speciality lagers, Guinness and ciders. Alongside quiz nights, it runs grassroots live music and a regular open-mic night hosted by Dean Swindells, where all abilities and genres are welcome. The Night
Tap & Brew is a six-line micropub in Hoyland Common, just south of Barnsley, and its open mic is hosted by local musician Dean Swindells.
The night
First Tuesday of the month, from 7pm, in the pub's single small room - an unusually close-up room to play. All abilities and all genres welcome, with a friendly, non-judgemental crowd and a real chance to get some stage experience. Free to perform and free to watch.
Gear
A house guitar and a PA are provided. Anything else - pedals, keys, percussion - you will need to bring yourself.
