Library @ the Lightbox is Barnsley's central library at 1 The Glass Works, a bright, modern community space in the heart of town (formerly Barnsley Central Library). Open Monday to Saturday and free to enter, it hosts cultural events including Get It Loud In Libraries live-music sessions and free LIVEwire Poetry showcases, whose open mics offer a handful of pre-booked and on-the-night slots for poetry, spoken word and music in any language.
