Dead Wax Social opened in October 2025 on the former Dog House site at 18 St George's Street, Norwich — a self-styled "music-first" venue celebrating all things vinyl, digital and live. Programming runs the gamut from guitar-driven bands and crate-digging selector DJs to promoter-led nights showcasing the best of Norwich's local talent, alongside art exhibitions, magazine launches, photoshoots and podcasts. The bar pours craft beer from Laine Brew Co and curated cocktails, with New York-style pizza from Gordo's, outdoor seating and a pet-friendly welcome until 9pm. A genuinely eclectic grassroots room spanning hip-hop to indie.

About Dead Wax Norwich

About This Open Mic
The Night
Dead Wax Social is Norwich's vinyl-and-live-music bar on St George's Street (the old Dog House site), built music-first for people who actually want to listen. Its open mic runs on Sundays in the evening (around 8pm), welcoming all musicians — you sign up in advance by emailing hello@deadwaxsocial.pub rather than scrawling on a sheet at the door. They also run a separate open-mic poetry slam for the city's word-nerds. A proper music-led room, not background-noise territory.
