The Working Boat is a Falmouth waterfront institution on Greenbank Quay (TR11 2SR), beside the Greenbank Hotel and overlooking the harbour toward Flushing. Established in 1876 and relaunched in 2015, it's a lively local proud of its nautical roots, with a private pontoon, cosy nooks and panoramic harbour views. For performers, the regular fixture is the Monday Evening Open Mic from 8pm, hosted by Oscar, welcoming musicians, poets and storytellers with no genre restrictions — every performer gets a complimentary drink. Beyond the weekly mic, the pub is a headline sponsor of the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival (its beer tent is a main stage) and runs live music through Falmouth Week each August, so the live calendar peaks hard in summer.
