The Flower Pot is a cosy, much-loved free house at 96 Sandling Road in Maidstone, run by Dave and Julie and known across Kent for its real ales — typically nine on at a time from local and far-flung breweries — plus an annual beer festival. It's a genuine grassroots live-music pub: gigs run across the weekend on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with a weekly open-mic night on top, and the venue is tracked on Songkick, Ents24 and Setlist.fm. Big, tasty pizzas, a pool table and a dog-friendly welcome round it out. Both original acts and covers are at home here. Open Sunday-Thursday 12:00-23:00 and Friday-Saturday from noon till late.

About The Flower Pot

About This Open Mic
The Night
The Flower Pot on Sandling Road is a corner alehouse in Maidstone with eight handpumps of microbrewery ale, and it runs an open mic / jam night every Tuesday from around 8:30pm down in the lower bar. It's a proper grass-roots music pub — alongside the Tuesday session there's live music on the last Sunday of the month and various Saturdays, plus pizzas and a covered outdoor seating area. Turn up, sign on and play; it's a relaxed, ale-house crowd.
