The Old Nun's Head is a traditional 1930s mock-Tudor community pub on Nunhead Green in Nunhead, south-east London (postcode SE15 3QQ), close to Peckham Rye station. Behind the wood-panelled bar and working fireplaces sits an upstairs function room with its own stage and sound system that holds up to 80 standing. The pub has built a reputation as one of south-east London's busiest unofficial queer venues, programming drag, cabaret, comedy, club nights and weekend DJs (disco through to Northern Soul), alongside a Thursday quiz and a rotating roster of kitchen pop-ups. It is a stage-and-PA-equipped community pub squarely in the grassroots live-entertainment scene.

The Night
The Old Nun's Head is a much-loved mock-Tudor community pub on Nunhead Green with a dedicated upstairs events room. It used to run Archie's Open Mic (Thursdays, 8–11pm, sign-up from 7:30pm), but that night has wound down — the pub's current what's-on lists quizzes, NUNAOKE karaoke, drag and club nights rather than an open mic, and Open Mic Finder presumes the open mic is no longer running. Still a brilliant live-music and events pub, just not for a regular open mic right now.
