About Green Note

Green ‌‌‍Note is a multiple-award-winning live-music venue and vegetarian café-bar at 106 Parkway in Camden Town, London (NW1 7AN), under five minutes from Camden Town tube. Founded in 2005, it's one of London's top rooms for folk and roots music, with curated gigs every night of the week spanning folk, Americana, country, bluegrass, blues, roots, world, jazz and singer-songwriters. The candlelit, wooden-accented main room is intimate (around 50), with a self-contained 25-capacity Basement Bar (opened 2014) for showcases of solo, duo and trio acts. Voted London's Favourite Music Venue 2015 by Time Out readers. A cosy, friendly, fiercely independent grassroots institution.

The Night

Green ‌‌‍Note in Camden is one of London's best-loved intimate folk and acoustic rooms, and its open mic runs on the last Tuesday evening of every month (except December), plus a third-Sunday afternoon session. Doors are at 7pm; sign-up is first-come, first-served and slots go fast, with each act getting ten minutes or two songs. It's free to perform and a modest cover for audience (£3 pre-booked, £6 on the door). The room is small, attentive and genuinely supportive — a lovely place to try new material.
