Baton Rouge is a Nashville-themed bar in Leicester's city centre, in the Queen's Building at 41 Rutland Street (LE1 1RE), directly opposite the Curve theatre. It leans into a southern-US, country-and-covers atmosphere with in-house DJs, a live band, line dancing and karaoke, and also operates as a venue-hire space. Performances mix covers, country and pop-rock for a party crowd; the bar runs a house PA and takes both originals and covers. A polished, themed city-centre live-music and events bar rather than a stripped-back grassroots room.

About Baton Rouge Leicester

About This Open Mic
The Night
Baton Rouge sits in the Queen's Building on Rutland Street in Leicester's Cultural Quarter, a New Orleans-themed bar with two large stages. Its open mic has run on the third Thursday of every month from 8pm, hosted by musical duo Jack & Tasha, welcoming all genres and abilities - a PA and microphones are provided, so just bring your instrument, and sign-ups are taken at the start of the session. Free to play. Re-checked in August 2026 we could not confirm the night is still running: the venue's own site now describes itself as available by booking only plus selected public event dates, so check before travelling.
