The Night
The Gardeners Arms on Cottingham Road has been refurbished, and its front bar now hosts Gards Unplugged, a weekly acoustic and open mic night promoted by Music HQ.
When it runs
Every Tuesday, 8pm to 11pm. The night is hosted by local singer-songwriter Rowland, with a booked special guest alongside the open mic slots - past guests include acoustic Britpop performer Dan Foster.
The venue
A traditional front bar with a beer garden, plus the separate Gards Bar to the rear for music and sport. Food runs to sourdough pizzas, burgers and sharing plates.
