61 Bar & Venue's weekly Thursday open mic with One Umbrella Music is currently on hold: the venue closed in April 2026 and CAMRA's WhatPub lists it as closed long-term with its future uncertain. Before the closure, the night ran every Thursday from 8pm in the heart of Taunton's High Street — all musical styles welcome, full PA provided, with a loan guitar and a cajon on hand if you travelled light, and free to play for original acts and covers alike. If the bar reopens, check its socials before heading down.
