The Crown & Sceptre is a traditional community pub on Petitor Road in St Marychurch, north Torquay. It closed in 2020 after forty years under one family and has since reopened under new management following a refurbishment that kept its traditional character. It serves real ale and home-cooked food, and runs a regular live music programme downstairs plus gigs in an upstairs function room. The monthly Be Spoken poetry and spoken-word open mic is held here.
