The Four Horsemen is a 90s/00s-inspired retro bar and kitchen at 77-79 Commercial Road (BH2 5RT) in the heart of Bournemouth. It's a craft-beer-led pub boasting over 100 different beers and ciders plus a deep back bar of exotic spirits. Hidden beneath the ground floor is Bournemouth's only microclub — an intimate downstairs music venue that hosts gigs, club nights, comedy, art fairs and live streams. Upstairs and down the diary is busy most weeks with acoustic sessions, open mic nights, jam sessions and live DJs, with appearances from smaller local acts. A characterful, music-forward spot for the town's grassroots scene.

The Night
The Four Horsemen is a contemporary tavern on Commercial Road in central Bournemouth (capacity c. 60) that programmes comedy, live bands and DJ nights across the week. Its current recurring open mic is Bournemouth EMOM - the Electronic Music Open Mic - a monthly Thursday night for producers, synth players and live electronic acts, 7pm to 11pm, with six 20-minute sets per night. Earlier generic open mics here (Frogfest, 2022-23, and a Sunday open mic in early 2024) are no longer listed.
Sign-up process
Slots are pre-booked by email with the Bournemouth EMOM team - there are no on-the-night sign-ups. Doors 7pm - performers must be in the venue by 7:15pm. Next listed dates: Thursday 17 September and Thursday 19 November 2026.
