The Thomas Tripp is a historic freehouse dating to around 1750 — once a smugglers' haunt — at 10 Wick Lane, Christchurch, Dorset (BH23 1HX), in the wider Bournemouth conurbation. By day it is a traditional pub with real ale, an open fire and a garden, serving food by chef Quentin Royles; by night it is an electrifying live-music venue hosting touring bands and local talent, with music always free. It runs a regular open-mic night with Si Genaro that welcomes solo performers, duos, bands, comedians and poets. A house PA is provided and the venue takes both originals and covers.
