Sixty Million Postcards is a quirky, versatile bar and cultural hub at 19 Exeter Road in central Bournemouth, opposite the BIC. It's earned its name with homemade food, buoyant quiz nights, live bands and all-singing, all-dancing DJ nights, and it programmes a genuinely eclectic calendar — live music, DJ sets, art exhibitions, film screenings and even musical bingo. The venue runs a popular open mic night welcoming both original songs and covers across mixed genres, and it's a regular fixture on the Bournemouth grassroots gig circuit. A large, modern room serving a mixed crowd in the heart of the town centre.

About Sixty Million Postcards

About This Open Mic
The Night
Sixty Million Postcards, the much-loved quirky cafe-bar on Exeter Road in central Bournemouth, has now closed and rebranded — the site has reopened as 'The Sun'. Its old Thursday open mic (a free, over-18s night hosted by Alex Allen, running roughly 7:30pm to 10:30pm) has ended along with the original venue. The space still does live music, DJ nights and quizzes under the new name, but we can't currently verify a recurring open mic at The Sun, so treat the old listing as closed and check @thesunbournemouth for what's on now.
