Canvas is Bournemouth's only Loft Bar and Live Lounge, spread over the first and second floors of a c.1800 listed building in the city's Soho Quarter on Poole Hill. It puts a heavy emphasis on high-quality live acts and DJs, with award-winning bartenders, a strong cocktail programme and artisan decor. Friday nights bring intimate Live Lounge gigs spanning indie bands to acoustic soloists, while Saturdays lean clubbier (free entry before 10:30pm). Total capacity is 300 — split between a 100-capacity cocktail bar and a 200-capacity Live Lounge.
