Voodoo is Belfast's best independent live-music venue, at 9-11 Fountain Street in the city centre and trading since 2011. It spans two floors — a cosy exposed-brick bottom bar and an upstairs club space whose stage hosts everything from hard rock and punk to hip-hop, drum and bass and even twangy bluegrass sessions. The 150-capacity room runs a packed calendar of weekly open-mic nights, band showcases, DJ sets and comedy, open midday to 1am Monday to Saturday and to midnight on Sundays. A genuine grassroots cornerstone of the city's underground scene.
