What is the Noticeboard on my dashboard?

The Noticeboard is where you find out what is going on at GigXchange — updates, heads-ups and what is coming next.

Open it from the menu: Dashboard, then Noticeboard. There is also a Noticeboard link in the My activity chapter of your dashboard, and a dot beside it means something has been posted since you last looked.

It has two halves:

  • Notices — posts from GigXchange about what has shipped, what is changing, and what is coming
  • Community — posts from other members: gigs, gear, venues, anything worth saying out loud

Every post is a conversation. Open one and you can reply underneath it, and other people can reply to you. When someone replies to your post, you get a notification that takes you straight back to that thread.

You can start your own post on the Community side using Start a discussion above the list. Notices are written by GigXchange, so that half is one to read rather than post to.

It is a different thing from Classifieds, which is the board for finding people to play with — see how do I find other musicians to play with?
