Can I connect my AI assistant to GigXchange?

Yes. You can connect an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to your account, so you can ask it about your gigs and the public directory in your own words.

You start from inside the assistant, not from GigXchange. It takes about a minute and needs no keys or codes.

In Claude: Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste https://mcp.gigxchange.app/mcp and choose Connect.

In ChatGPT: Settings, then Connectors, then Create, and paste the same address. Use the web or desktop app — the phone app does not support custom connectors yet.

In Codex: Settings, then Integrations, then Plugins, then Add. Set the type to Streamable HTTP, paste the same address and save.

Either way, the assistant then opens a GigXchange sign-in page. Log in, read what the assistant is asking for, and approve it. The connection appears in your account under Connected AI assistants.

To find it later, or to add another assistant, open Settings, then Integrations, then the AI tab. That tab opens on Your AI keys (an optional place to save your own Claude or OpenAI key) — scroll past it; Connected AI assistants and Assistant activity are below.

To end a connection, press Disconnect next to it. Access stops straight away. Signing out of GigXchange does not disconnect an assistant — it stays connected until you disconnect it.

Before you connect, it is worth knowing what your assistant can see and what it can do on your behalf.
