Bookings & Gigs
An act has dropped out - how do I find a replacement fast?
Use Gig Rescue. It is on venue and promoter accounts: open Bookings and choose Gig Rescue. It is switched on for venues; a promoter switches it on first - press Switch Gig Rescue on on that page, or turn on the Gig Rescue switch in Settings.
Pick Booked on GigXchange to choose one of your upcoming bookings, or Booked outside GigXchange to set the night yourself, with an optional Fee per act and genre. A promoter also types the Town or city of the gig - nothing is sent without it. Press Continue, then Broadcast.
GigXchange sends an urgent offer to up to 25 acts who are free that night near the gig and take last-minute gigs (acts switch that on or off on their Availability page, under Open to last-minute gigs). Each invite expires after 72 hours. The first act to accept fills the slot, and the other invites close automatically. You are notified when someone says yes.
Each rescue can also have a public page to share. Before you can share it, your profile needs a photo, your town, a bio and a link. Press Copy link or Share on WhatsApp and post it in your musician groups. Anyone can open it and press Apply for this gig without an account. Their applications appear on your Gig Rescue page with their email - reply to them directly. When the applicant is a GigXchange member, Accept & book opens a pre-filled booking for you to check and send. Once the night is covered, press Mark as filled and the public page shows it as filled.
Rescue status shows where each invited act stands. If nobody has said yes yet, Widen the search takes the offer further - a venue's goes across its whole region straight away; a promoter confirms the town again and presses Broadcast to send it anywhere - and Raise the fee lets you set a higher fee and broadcast again.
