Isis Farmhouse rounds off every weekend with free live jazz and swing, every Sunday (or Bank Holiday Monday) from 7pm till 10pm. On Friday evenings there is a traditional Irish music session from 8pm, and once a month that slot goes to an English folk session of "folk & shanties for the 21st century".
The pub calls itself "Oxford's Hidden Gem", sitting on the towing path beside the river near Iffley Lock. There is no road to the door - as The Guardian put it, "it's only accessible on foot, by bicycle from the Thames path, or from the river itself".
Outside there is a spacious garden with picnic tables, and inside the pub blends historical charm, food and music.
