Escape ‌‌‍to Freight Island is a sprawling food, drink and entertainment complex in Depot Mayfield, just behind Manchester Piccadilly station. Spread across six distinctive areas with a combined capacity of up to 2,000, it pairs street-food vendors and bars with a packed events programme. Key spaces include The Outside (up to 1,000 standing, with its own bar, DJ box and stage for live music and day-to-night parties), a 700-capacity warehouse Sports Bar, The Platform (350 seated / 900 standing) and the Ticket Hall, which carries a full stage, big bars, a giant LED screen and full technical integration. Programming leans into DJ sets, pop and electronic live shows, with the same team now also running Freight Brixton in London.
