Off The Tap is Maidenhead's first independent craft beer and burger bar, at 105 High Street in the town centre. The taps rotate constantly - local, UK, US and world beers across lagers, ales, ciders, IPAs, stouts and porters, with one or two cask ales on and a CAMRA accreditation for keeping them well - and the kitchen does smash burgers. Live music is part of the offer rather than the whole point: the bar runs an open mic every other Thursday from 7.30pm, hosted by Tara Deane and built around performers of every level, alongside DJs, quiz nights, live sport, pool and darts, with beer gardens front and rear. Published hours are noon to midnight Monday to Thursday and noon to 1am Friday and Saturday. A good low-pressure room for acoustic and solo acts looking for a first Maidenhead crowd.
