The Underground is a 200-capacity grassroots live music venue in Boscombe, which opened on 7 August 2026 with Sigue Sigue Sputnik Electronic headlining. It was set up by local live music enthusiasts Hawkeye Houlihan and Hayley Goodrick to bridge the gap between Bournemouth's smaller grassroots rooms and its larger concert spaces.
The bill mixes local bands and touring artists with vinyl-only DJ nights, monthly community nights including folk and jazz clubs, and free Original Music Showcase nights. Bands play through a fully analogue vintage PA.
