The Uplands Tavern — "The Tav" to its regulars — sits at 42 Uplands Crescent in the Uplands district of Swansea and is widely rated one of South Wales' best live-music pubs. It puts on all kinds of live music seven nights a week (and sometimes daytimes too), with a mix of local and touring bands spanning jazz, blues, rock and pop, plus an open-mic night every Monday, rock'n'roll bingo on Tuesdays and a Wednesday quiz. A Greene King house with an 80-capacity gig room, a beer garden and the Dylan Thomas-themed snug, it's strictly over-18s and a fixture of the city's grassroots scene.
