The Ostrich Inn is a traditional pub tucked away on North Street, just off Westgate in the heart of Peterborough city centre, and there has been a pub on the site for almost 200 years. It is a serious grassroots music room by pub standards: live music runs up to four evenings most weeks including weekends, alongside regular arts events, and the bills lean rock, indie, blues and acoustic — past and recent acts include Soulscraper, Splitbox, Flesh Tetris, Spoilers (UK) and Prey Drive. Standing capacity is around 100 and a PA is provided. The bar is in the Good Beer Guide and was voted CAMRA City Pub of the Year in 2022, with a changing range of well-kept ales, craft beers, speciality lagers, wines and spirits, plus a sheltered, heated outdoor courtyard.

The pub's own what's-on lists Thur 10th Ostrich Blues Jam 8pm (September 2026) and Thur 8th (October 2026) and states Ostrich Blues Jam - Second Thursday In the Month. The third-Thursday Songwriters Session is a booked line-up, not an open mic.
