Mama Liz's is a three-floor bar and live music venue at 9a North Street in Stamford, Lincolnshire, with the Voodoo Lounge gig room in the basement. Upstairs it is a real-ale and cocktail bar with food - downstairs the Voodoo Lounge hosts touring and local bands, punk and rock nights, rockabilly and blues acts and DJ sessions, with the autumn 2026 diary including Under The Cosh (4 Sep), Morti Viventi (25 Sep), Jo Carley And The Old Dry Skulls (3 Oct), The Houndogs (9 Oct) and punk veterans 999 (16 Oct). Open Thursday to Sunday, from midday until 1:30am on Thursday, 2am on Friday and Saturday and 10pm on Sunday. Music bookings go to voodoolounge@mamaliz.co.uk. One of the few proper original-music rooms between Peterborough and Leicester.

About This Open Mic
The Night
Runs on the last Sunday of the month, from 16:00. Mama Liz's is a live music bar on North Street in Stamford, PE9, about 14 miles north west of Peterborough and inside the PE postcode area; the Peterborough directory already carries Stamford Arts Centre on the same basis. Its Back Lounge took over the monthly free jazz jam with the Jay Stebb Jazz Quartet in July 2026, on the last Sunday of the month from 4pm, where anyone can get up and play or sing with the house trio. The venue's separate Voodoo Lounge open mic was recorded as defunct in August 2026, so this jam is the live open-floor night there.
