The Crow (formerly the Crafty Crow) sits at 102 Friar Lane in central Nottingham, a short walk from the historic Castle entrance. The wood-furnished, rustic alehouse reopened in July 2023 and was renamed in 2024, building a reputation on local Castle Rock ales, an array of LocAle guest beers, a fridge packed with craft bottles and cans, and a well-regarded vegetarian and largely vegan kitchen. For performers it runs a weekly Wednesday open mic that has become a community fixture, drawing acoustic and singer-songwriter acts into a relaxed, characterful pub setting. Dog-friendly, with lunch served Saturdays and Sundays and evening meals through the week.

About The Crow

About This Open Mic
The Night
The Crow (the Crafty Crow) on Friar Lane, opposite Nottingham Castle, runs a friendly weekly open mic every Wednesday from 7:30pm to around 10:30pm. It's an all-comers night — music, poetry, comedy and more — organised through a local Meetup group, so seasoned performers and first-timers share the same supportive room. No need to book a slot in advance; just turn up early to get your name down and grab a good spot, with craft beer and a vegetarian-friendly kitchen to settle into.
What's on stage — equipment and backline at this venue, verified regularly.
