The Angel Microbrewery (the 'Old Angel') is a Nottingham institution at 7 Stoney Street in the heart of the Lace Market — a rustic pub, on-site microbrewery and live-music venue whose doors first opened in the 1700s. Free live music plays every weekend, with resident DJs and bands in the main bar all Friday and Saturday night and live music plus DJs every Sunday afternoon from 3pm. Upstairs, The Chapel is a purpose-built, refurbished gig space with a capacity of around 110 that hosts ticketed gigs, poetry open mics, drag club nights and private events across the week. A legendary, fiercely independent home for grassroots and alternative live music in the city centre.
