The Walnut Tree is a cosy, 300-year-old L-shaped local on Tonbridge Road, warmed by a central real fire, that runs regular live music on Friday evenings plus a monthly jam night on the first Monday. Comedy nights on the third Thursday round out a busy entertainment calendar that gives Maidstone musicians a friendly, characterful room to play. The pub's quote-covered walls and snug furnishings make it a welcoming grassroots spot.

About The Walnut Tree
About This Open Mic
The Night
The Walnut Tree is a lively, dog-friendly local in Loose on the southern edge of Maidstone — named after the big old walnut tree in its garden — with a busy events diary: twice-monthly #SaturdaySounds live music outdoors from 4pm, a monthly Saturday karaoke and a monthly Friday quiz. Its musicians' Jam Night — an informal, all-comers session rather than a strict signed-up open mic — is currently on pause: the pub's own events page says jamming nights "will be making a return in the coming months". Check the venue's events page for the return date before travelling with an instrument.
