Cleethorpes Library on Alexandra Road is a handsome public library run by Lincs Inspire, a short walk from the seafront in Cleethorpes. Beyond books it programmes a steady run of community events, including a well-regarded spoken word night.
Come Let's Hear You Speak is the library's open mic for spoken word and poetry, held in the Albert Room on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7.30pm. Tickets are £3, paid on the door, and the night is open to ages 16 and over. Readers and first-time performers are actively encouraged.
It is one of the few regular open-mic stages for words rather than music in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area, and enquiries can go to the library or the event contact by email.
