The Night

The Fenton on Woodhouse Lane is one of Leeds' most-loved independent live-music pubs, and its open mic / jam night runs every Tuesday with both open-mic slots and room for full bands. The house kit is unusually generous: a full PA and backline are provided, with a house bass and electric guitar there for anyone to use, so you can rock up empty-handed and still plug in. It's all welcome and unpretentious — free sweets for every performer and £2 beers on the night sum up the spirit of the place.

About The Fenton

The Fenton is an independently owned pub on Woodhouse Lane, sat between Leeds Beckett and the University of Leeds, with a long-standing reputation for grassroots gigs in its upstairs event room. Programming runs from open-mic nights and trivia during the week to occasional live bands spanning electronic to indie. It's a no-frills, craft-ale-led student favourite that's been a fixture of the Leeds live scene for years.
