About The Cricketers Arms
The Cricketers Arms (locally 'Crix', also known as The Cricketers Beerhouse) is a carefully restored Edwardian real-ale pub on Cluntergate in Horbury, near Wakefield (WF4 5AG), serving seven hand-pulled real ales plus traditional cider, continental beers, wines and spirits. It has a regular live-music calendar built around Sundays: live music on the last Sunday of each month from 4:30pm, an open-mic afternoon on the second Sunday from 2pm, and the Cuckoo's Nest Folk Club on the last Sunday from 7pm. A welcoming, community-focused grassroots venue with a PA, leaning towards folk, acoustic and covers and open to original performers.
