Northern Guitars on Call Lane is a bar with a guitar shop upstairs, and Mondays belong to the Northern Guitars Open Mic, run by Live In The Hive from 7:30pm till 11pm. It's known as a genuinely supportive first step on the ladder for new performers — there's a PA, two mics, an in-house guitar, plus tuners, capos, plectrums and even a stand for your phone or tablet.
