About This Open Mic
The Night
Filthy's runs its self-styled 'world renowned' open mic every Tuesday, with a deliberately late 10pm start at the top of the Bigg Market. Hosted by local musician Connor Pattison, it's a competitive night — £100 cash to the winner and a £25 bar tab for second — but the welcome is warm: every musician who plays gets a free pint. A loud, Geordie crowd that wants you to do well. Free entry, PA and in-house sound provided.
About Filthy's
Filthy's is a late-night bar on the Bigg Market in Newcastle city centre (NE1) with live music every night of the week. Its weekly Tuesday open mic — hosted by local musician Connor Pattison — gives every musician who plays a free pint; the stage sits towards the back but is visible from almost anywhere inside, kitted out with lighting and a mixer, and a guitar, cajón, PA, mixer and vocal mic are all provided (bring your own gear if you prefer). Mondays and Wednesdays bring more live music with drinks offers, weekends see resident DJs spinning indie, rock and acoustic alongside live musicians, and Sundays are industry nights with live music and deals. Open 7pm–3am most nights (from 5pm Fri, 1pm Sat).
