About This Open Mic
The Night
STACK Newcastle runs Sofa Sessions, a weekly open-mic hosted by Molly Mackay in the restored Worswick Chambers on Pilgrim Street. It's a relaxed open-stage night welcoming shower singers, seasoned performers and everything in between — bring music, comedy, poetry or whatever you've got. Entry is free and the night runs Monday evenings from 6:30pm to 9pm. STACK reopened on Pilgrim Street in late 2025 as a leisure and social hub spread over three floors with an outdoor terrace.
About STACK Newcastle
STACK Newcastle is a leisure and entertainment hub on Pilgrim Street, set inside the restored Grade II-listed Worswick Chambers across three floors with an outdoor terrace and courtyard. Alongside eight independent street-food traders and eight bars, its outdoor stage and big screen host live music seven days a week — local solo artists, bands, open-stage nights, karaoke and themed events — all with free entry. It's also home to Sideshow, the North East's first circus-themed competitive socialising space. A high-footfall, genuinely all-week grassroots stage in the heart of Newcastle welcoming originals and covers across mixed genres.
